JAKARTA – PIR Trans Palm Oil Farmers Asociation (PIRPOFA) has been ready to anticipate El-Nino or the draught in July to the end of 2014 which Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (MCGA) has forecasted.

PIRPOFA has prepared and socialized El-Nino to the people so that they avoid the fire. “We have told the people that El-Nino would make fire,” Chairman of PIRPOFA, Setiyono recently said to InfoSAWIT.

The fire, he thought, has been running and it is not burn in purpose but it was made of the thrown cigarette. “It was not happening for the natural effect only but also for the men threw the cigarette,” he said.

Setiyono continued, it needs preparation to face El-Nino for the dry land will be easy to burn. It will too in the peatland. “We have prepared the fire tools,” he ended his words. q T3
