BALI –Methane capture technology – beside minimizing the green house effect from the palm oil cultivation – could also be used to cultivate the palm oil waste in palm oil factory to be bio energy, such as, bio gas.
Biogas Power Plant Project Manajer, PT Rea Kaltim Plantations, Pung Andita recently said to InfoSAWIT, his company had utilized pome through green technology to produce electricity about 4 Mega Watt.
He thought, the electricity was distributed to the company, the local pople and was sold to State Electricity in East Kalimantan. The palm oil factory – 30 tons/hour in capacity- could produce electricity up to 3 Mega Watt, while palm oil factory – 60 tons/hour in capacity – could produce 6 Mega Watt.
“It needed 30 billions rupiah to build 2 Mega Watt to be the Power Plant,” he said. (T3)
