JAKARTA – Palm oil plantation area belonging to DL Sitorus which reaching about 47 thousands hectares in District of Padang Lawas, North Sumatera Province will be taken over by the country. Secretary of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya said it on Tuesday (28/4).
The palm oil plantation operating in the protected forest will be cultivated too for there are thousands of family depending their lives on it.
“What we are prioritizing is to take over the management of the plantation. there are 13.000 families depending on it,” She explained as quoted from Metrotv news.
She continued, the physical areal execution takes almost eight years but it is delayed for the people reject it. So the government will take over the plantation management so the lives of the people could maintain.(T3)
