JAKARTA–New palm oil enlargement which is not in standard procedure will only damage not only the ecology, but also the loss for the country in fantastic numbers.
Researcher of Indonesia Corruption Watch, Mouna Wasef said, based on the Ministry of Forestry’ data on August 2011, the loss potency of the country for the forest region licence in seven provinces in Indonesia reached 273 billions of rupiah.
“The loss happened for there are 727 plantation areas having problems,” he said, Monday (26/4).
In last year, the loss potencies to the state from the forest turningover area to be palm oil plantations which ICW had reported to Corruption Eradication Commission were two cases happening in South Sumatera and Aceh which are potential loss reaching Rp 177 billions.
“These show, the state losses from the forestry crime are massive for years. It is recognized too that the forest crime could not decrease,” he said as quoted from Liputan6. (T3)
