JAKARTA–The expertstaff of Environmental Development, Ministry of Agriculture, Mukti Sardjono said, the palm oil productivity in Indonesia is still low.

He thought, few problems which palm oil industries face are the low productivity and the smallholders’ skill management. There are more than 40% of palm oil plantations belonging to them. 

So Mukti said, the government should urge the big private companies to guide them and cooperate with them. “The government should urge the big private companies to cooperate with the smallholders,” he said in Jakarta, Monday (27/4). (T3)
