SIMPANG AMPEK – Palm oil farmers in District of West Pasaman, North Sumatera are not excited for the fruit price decreases again, Rp 400/kg to be Rp 1.000. A palm oil farmer in Kinali, Tono, Tuesday (21/4) did not deny the falling fruit price. But he did not know why it happens.
He thought, being in the price, the farmers get more pressure and will have loss. “We hope, the price is normal again and there is no game from the companies or palm oil factories,” he said.
Knowing the information, local non government organization, Forum Peduli Insan Nagari Pasaman Barat, as quoted from Antara Sumbar thought, the government and the police could not do anything because of the companies.
The effect is that the farmers get more miserable from the policy. (T3)
