PERAWANG – The falling price of palm oil fruit in Riau in last several weeks gives bad influence to some of the farmers. The decreasing fruit price forces them to be difficult to buy fertilizers.
A farmer in Village of Buatan, Kotagasib, Aldi, Monday (20/4) said, he did not know why the fruit price decreases in last two weeks. “It reaches Rp 1.000 per kilogram,” he said as quoted from Riau Pos.
The selling fruit price is different in every region. In subdistrict of Kotagasib, the selling fruit price reaches Rp 1.000 per kilogram while in Subdistrictt of Tualang it is different, from Rp1.250 to Rp 1.300 per kilogram.
It happens to in Maredan, Perawang. A farmer named Sunan said, the fruit price reaches Rp 1.250 per kilogram or it decreasaes from the previous period.
“This makes us difficult to buy fertilizers,” he said. (T3)
