The man of Lamongan Mountainside, Subdistrict Klakah, Lumajang has done this since the akik stone popular in the society. He makes it to add his income besides doing farming.
As written in Pojokpity, Monday (20/4) the material is got from old palm oil seed which has been falling down to earth. It is simple to do it, just using simple tools, they are, a piece of paper of sandpaper, cutter, glue and wood dust.
After the ring is half made, the next process is to sublime and the finishing process is to paint until it is shining.
Wandy said, the selling price of the akik ring from palm oil waste is just Rp 35 thousands. “It is useful. The akik waistband ring from palm oil seeds is bought by them who love akik stone from Lumjang and Probolinggo. Besides being different, it is reachable,” he said.(T3)
