Jakarta– Referring to General Directorate of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conversion, the vegetable fuel absorption in the 1st third quarter 2015 just reached 40% or it decreased if it compared to last year. It means, as written in Media Indonesia, what the government has tried in mandatory B15, that is, the mixture about 15% of vegetable fuel in 1 liter diesel, does not run well.
There are some causes the decreasing absorption. The first, the slow down of some progress in some sectors. The second, the cancellation of fuel subsidy which makes diesel prices decreased for some time when the crude oil decreased. The third, lots of producers broken up.
The data shows, making alternative energy needs lots of requirements, such as, the clear vision, political will and the government’s comprehensive policies. If the government wants the vegetable fuel to be the priority, every government’s policy, both in short and in long terms, should be targeted to realize them.(T2)
