SANDAKAN – In the opening ceremony of 5th Palmex Exhibition in Sandakan Community Hall, Chairman of Secretary Sabah, Datuk Seri Musa Aman said, the government of Sabah makes industrial clusters palm oil to support the progress of downstream sectors. They are in Sandakan and Lahad Datu.
He added, the facilities in Lahad Datu which are 1.780 hectares are being developed in three phases. Meanwhile, the main secretaries said, Industrial Cluster Palm Oil in Lahad Datu is developed based on the industrial groups which do not serve downstream sectors only but also to support other industries, such as, logistics, transportation, fertilizer, and facilitis for the small and medium industrial business.
"POIC Lahad Datu is completed by modern infrastructures including two way –rail, drainage, electricity, water, telecomunication, and good port,” he said as quoted from Bernama, Wednesday (21/5/2014).
