JAKARTA – Chairman of Sustainable Strategy Plantation Development Forum, Achmad Manggabarani supported the ISPO as the standard in Indonesia. He thought, ISPO should be strengthened by the competent auditors.
On the other hand, Achmad continued, the socialization of the benefits and the role in ISPO needs to be done, both in domestic and foreign countries. “The goal is that the international markets admit it, not only in the administration paper,” he said.
Achmad continued, he convinced, all palm oil plantations having ISPO certification have been qualified to be sustainable. On the other hand, the government and the businessmen should convince the international world that ISPO is the sustainable standard which should be admitted by the international markets. (T2)
