JAKARTA – Millions palm oil plantations belonging to the farmers in Indonesia havebeen old and should be in replanting process. But the government thought, they who run this commodity have been good to handle by themselves though 40% of palm oil plantations belong to the farmers.
“Ministry of Agriculture thought the industries or palm oil plantations are capable so they do not need to be help to do replanting process,” III Vice Chairman of Indonesian Palm Oil Board said to InfoSAWIT in Jakarta, Monday (19/5/2014).
He thought, palm oil industries were difficult to do replanting process though palm oil commodity is the superior product in Indonesia. On the other hand, Chairman of Indonesia Palm Oil Plantation Businessmen, Soedjai Kartasasmita, it is a difficult dilemma to explain. (T3)
