IPOBA : CPO Export Volume Increased in US




JAKARTA – It was surprising thing in United States (US). When all the aim countries had decreasing demand of palm oil, US booked increasing demands of CPO significantly.

Indonesian Palm Oil Businessmen Association (IPOBA) noted, the CPO export volume and the derivatives increase 84% from 31 thousands of ton in March to be 57 thousands of ton in April.

“The increasing demands to US because of fund for about US$ 60 millions from the government to biodiesel industries given by Depertment of Agriculture of US,” Executive Director of  IPOBA, Fadhil Hasan said to InfoSAWIT,  Friday (16/5/2014).

From the price perspective, the average price of CPO in April in Rotterdam was about US$ 893 – US$ 930 per metrik and the everage price US$ 911 per metrik ton. It decreased about 5% to previous month in March about US$ 961 per metrik ton. (T3)
