InfoSAWIT, PADANG – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices in Indonesia's West Sumatra Province increased during the first pricing period of August 2026, supported by firmer crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel values used in the provincial pricing formula.

Based on the decision of the West Sumatra Provincial FFB Pricing Committee for the August 1–7, 2026 period, the FFB price for oil palm trees aged 10–20 years increased by Rp72.76/kg to Rp4,045.02/kg compared with the previous pricing period. The prices were determined during a meeting held in Padang on August 4, 2026.

According to the official pricing document issued by the Provincial Plantation, Food Crops, and Horticulture Office, FFB prices vary according to tree age. Prices were set at Rp3,166.29/kg for three-year-old palms, Rp3,348.70/kg for four-year-old trees, Rp3,549.05/kg for five-year-old palms, Rp3,664.63/kg for six-year-old trees, Rp3,810.25/kg for seven-year-old palms, and Rp3,952.60/kg for eight-year-old palms.

For older plantations, FFB prices were fixed at Rp4,032.71/kg for nine-year-old palms, Rp4,045.02/kg for trees aged 10–20 years, Rp3,885.57/kg for 21-year-old palms, Rp3,879.45/kg for 22-year-old trees, Rp3,821.17/kg for 23-year-old palms, Rp3,643.97/kg for 24-year-old trees, and Rp3,605.02/kg for 25-year-old palms.

The pricing formula was based on a CPO reference price of Rp15,578.31/kg, a palm kernel price of Rp14,833.61/kg, a shell price of Rp17.84/kg, and a K Index of 93.75%. These benchmark prices serve as the official reference for payments to partner cooperatives and smallholders across West Sumatra during the applicable pricing period. (T2)
