InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from plasma palm oil smallholders in Riau Province has declined for the August 12-18, 2026 period. Under the latest price determination, FFB from nine-year-old palms was set at Rp3,941.29 per kilogram, down Rp70.53 per kilogram from Rp4,011.82 per kilogram in the previous period.
The latest price was determined by the Riau Provincial FFB Price Determination Team at a meeting held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The calculation was based on CPO and palm kernel price data for August 3-9, submitted by 24 partner companies serving as data sources.
Riau Plasma Palm Oil FFB Prices
The following are the officially determined FFB prices for plasma smallholders in Riau for August 12-18, 2026:
- 3-year-old palms: Rp3,038.52/kg
- 4-year-old palms: Rp3,443.74/kg
- 5-year-old palms: Rp3,649.58/kg
- 6-year-old palms: Rp3,808.46/kg
- 7-year-old palms: Rp3,890.63/kg
- 8-year-old palms: Rp3,936.60/kg
- 9-year-old palms: Rp3,941.29/kg
- 10-20-year-old palms: Rp3,920.32/kg
- 21-year-old palms: Rp3,858.90/kg
- 22-year-old palms: Rp3,800.07/kg
- 23-year-old palms: Rp3,737.19/kg
- 24-year-old palms: Rp3,668.29/kg
- 25-year-old palms: Rp3,590.78/kg
- 26-year-old palms: Rp3,543.82/kg
- 27-year-old palms: Rp3,496.69/kg
- 28-year-old palms: Rp3,450.86/kg
- 29-year-old palms: Rp3,433.31/kg
- 30-year-old palms: Rp3,418.68/kg
The nine-year-old category recorded the highest FFB price at Rp3,941.29 per kilogram. Prices generally declined for older palms after the 10-20-year category, reflecting the structure of the official pricing formula.
CPO and Kernel Prices Weigh on FFB Calculation
The average weighted CPO price used for the August 3-9 sales period was set at Rp15,659.31 per kilogram, while the average weighted palm kernel price stood at Rp13,885.58 per kilogram.
The shell value was calculated at Rp18.27 per kilogram, with a K index of 93.39%. The shell component was incorporated into the FFB pricing calculation in accordance with the applicable provisions in Riau.
The next Riau FFB price determination meeting, covering the August 19-25 period, is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. local time.
The decline in the official FFB price highlights the sensitivity of smallholder income to movements in CPO and palm kernel prices used in the regional pricing formula. Actual prices received by farmers may nevertheless vary depending on local purchasing conditions and transactions at the plantation level. (T2)
