InfoSAWIT, SAMARINDA – Palm oil fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices in East Kalimantan rose during the first half of August 2026, with the reference price for 10- to 20-year-old oil palms increasing by IDR 33.58 per kilogram from the previous pricing period.
The East Kalimantan Provincial FFB Pricing Team set the price for FFB from 10- to 20-year-old palms at IDR 3,561.69 per kg, up from IDR 3,528.11 per kg in the previous period.
The latest pricing was stipulated under Official Report No. 500.10.6.3/557/Disbun/2026 concerning the purchase price of FFB from partner smallholders in East Kalimantan.
The pricing meeting was held on August 13, 2026, using data and market information submitted by plantation companies participating in the provincial FFB pricing team.
East Kalimantan FFB Prices by Palm Age
According to the East Kalimantan Plantation Agency data reviewed by InfoSAWIT, the official FFB prices for the August 1–15 period were set as follows:
3-year-old palms: IDR 3,127.56 per kg
4-year-old palms: IDR 3,227.21 per kg
5-year-old palms: IDR 3,316.48 per kg
6-year-old palms: IDR 3,389.18 per kg
7-year-old palms: IDR 3,438.10 per kg
8-year-old palms: IDR 3,493.65 per kg
9-year-old palms: IDR 3,536.40 per kg
10- to 20-year-old palms: IDR 3,561.69 per kg
21-year-old palms: IDR 3,510.05 per kg
22-year-old palms: IDR 3,439.58 per kg
23-year-old palms: IDR 3,363.55 per kg
24-year-old palms: IDR 3,325.61 per kg
25-year-old palms: IDR 3,294.44 per kg
CPO and Kernel Prices Support FFB Calculation
The weighted average CPO price used in the calculation was set at IDR 15,230.55 per kg, while the weighted average palm kernel price reached IDR 13,521.48 per kg.
The K index used in calculating the FFB purchase price was set at 88.97%.
The official FFB prices apply to plasma and/or independent smallholder plantations that have established partnerships in accordance with Agriculture Minister Regulation No. 13 of 2024.
The decision covers FFB sales during the August 1–15, 2026 period.
The increase in the official FFB reference price provides a modest improvement for partner smallholders in East Kalimantan during the first half of August. However, actual prices received by smallholders may differ depending on plantation-level transactions, deductions, quality factors and agreements with purchasing companies. (T2)
