South Sumatra Sets Palm Oil FFB Prices at Up to Rp3,910.50/Kg for August 1-15, 2026

InfoSAWIT SUMATERA, PALEMBANG – South Sumatra has set fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for smallholders for the first half of August 2026 at up to Rp3,910.50 per kilogram for oil palms aged 22 years, including the additional shell value.

The official pricing applies from August 1-15, 2026, following a meeting of the South Sumatra FFB Purchase Price Determination Team on Monday, August 10, 2026. The average crude palm oil (CPO) price used in the calculation was Rp15,347.85 per kilogram, while the palm kernel price was set at Rp13,928.93 per kilogram.

The K index was set at 93.38%, while the shell value was calculated at Rp18.78 per kilogram. The shell component was included in the final FFB prices paid to smallholders.

South Sumatra Plasma FFB Prices

The FFB prices for partner or plasma smallholders vary according to palm tree age. The following prices already include the additional shell value of Rp18.78 per kilogram:

  • 3 years: Rp3,286.36/kg
  • 4 years: Rp3,388.86/kg
  • 5 years: Rp3,534.83/kg
  • 6 years: Rp3,571.76/kg
  • 7 years: Rp3,568.42/kg
  • 8 years: Rp3,697.87/kg
  • 9 years: Rp3,772.94/kg
  • 10-20 years: Rp3,910.46/kg
  • 21 years: Rp3,900.14/kg
  • 22 years: Rp3,910.50/kg
  • 23 years: Rp3,883.40/kg
  • 24 years: Rp3,775.38/kg
  • 25 years: Rp3,789.80/kg
  • 26 years: Rp3,722.57/kg
  • 27 years: Rp3,667.31/kg
  • 28 years: Rp3,605.16/kg
  • 29 years: Rp3,537.13/kg
  • 30 years: Rp3,463.64/kg

The highest FFB price during the first half of August was therefore recorded for 22-year-old palms at Rp3,910.50 per kilogram, narrowly ahead of the Rp3,910.46 per kilogram price for palms aged 10-20 years.

South Sumatra Swadaya FFB Prices

In addition to plasma smallholders, the South Sumatra pricing team also determined FFB prices for independent smallholders based on the composition of tenera and dura palms.

The final prices for the first half of August 2026 are:

  • 100% Tenera – 0% Dura: Rp3,574.95/kg
  • 90% Tenera – 10% Dura: Rp3,554.09/kg
  • 80% Tenera – 20% Dura: Rp3,531.93/kg
  • 70% Tenera – 30% Dura: Rp3,511.07/kg
  • 60% Tenera – 40% Dura: Rp3,490.34/kg
  • 50% Tenera – 50% Dura: Rp3,469.48/kg
  • 40% Tenera – 60% Dura: Rp3,447.32/kg

The highest price in the independent smallholder category was recorded for 100% tenera at Rp3,574.95 per kilogram. The lowest was Rp3,447.32 per kilogram for a composition of 40% tenera and 60% dura.

 

CPO and Palm Kernel Prices Support FFB Calculation

The FFB pricing formula for South Sumatra incorporated several key components, including the average CPO price of Rp15,347.85 per kilogram and the palm kernel price of Rp13,928.93 per kilogram.

The K index of 93.38% and shell value of Rp18.78 per kilogram were also incorporated into the final FFB calculation.

The next FFB pricing meeting for the second half of August 2026 is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2026. (T2)
