InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent oil palm smallholders in Riau Province declined for the August 12–18, 2026 period, with the price for nine-year-old palms falling by IDR 61.74 per kilogram.

Based on the decision of the Riau Provincial Palm Oil FFB Price Determination Team, the nine-year-old FFB price was set at IDR 3,874.89/kg, down from IDR 3,936.63/kg in the previous period.

The price determination followed a meeting of the Riau Provincial FFB Purchase Price Determination Team held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The calculation was based on sales data from August 3–9, 2026, submitted by nine partner companies serving as data sources.

The following are the official FFB prices for independent oil palm smallholders in Riau:

3 years: IDR 3,000.19/kg

4 years: IDR 3,346.15/kg

5 years: IDR 3,591.04/kg

6 years: IDR 3,729.43/kg

7 years: IDR 3,813.54/kg

8 years: IDR 3,859.71/kg

9 years: IDR 3,874.89/kg

10–20 years: IDR 3,834.67/kg

21 years: IDR 3,770.22/kg

22 years: IDR 3,695.95/kg

23 years: IDR 3,611.50/kg

24 years: IDR 3,547.52/kg

25 years: IDR 3,495.06/kg

26 years: IDR 3,476.16/kg

27 years: IDR 3,446.96/kg

28 years: IDR 3,391.59/kg

29 years: IDR 3,350.88/kg

30 years: IDR 3,257.83/kg

The decline in FFB prices reflected changes in the components used in the pricing formula. The weighted average CPO price for the August 3–9 period was set at IDR 15,735.77/kg, while the palm kernel price stood at IDR 14,443.32/kg.

The shell value used in the FFB pricing formula was recorded at IDR 24.45/kg, with a K index of 92.40%. The calculation also included the additional shell value in accordance with the applicable provisions in Riau.

The Riau Provincial FFB Price Determination Team is scheduled to determine prices for the August 19–25 period at its next meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. Western Indonesia Time.

The official FFB prices serve as a reference based on the determination of the local plantation authorities. Actual purchase prices at the farm level may vary. (T2)
