JAKARTA, InfoSAWIT – Indonesia's state-run palm oil marketing agency PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) lowered its crude palm oil (CPO) reference price on Thursday (June 25), reflecting weaker sentiment in both the domestic and international palm oil markets.
The KPBN Inacom CPO price was set at Rp15,350 per kilogram, down Rp300/kg, or approximately 1.92%, from Rp15,650/kg recorded on Wednesday (June 24).
According to market information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Kuala Tanjung and Dumai CPO price was established at Rp15,350/kg, while FOB Talang Duku was set at Rp15,057/kg.
Meanwhile, the FOB Teluk Bayur tender opened at Rp15,220/kg, but ended in a withdrawal (WD) after the highest bid reached only Rp15,060/kg.
The decline in domestic prices coincided with another weaker trading session on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange, where benchmark palm oil futures extended losses for a third consecutive session amid falling crude oil prices and weakness across competing vegetable oils.
According to Reuters, the benchmark September 2026 palm oil contract fell 1.96% to RM4,542 per metric ton by the mid-day break, after posting cumulative losses of 0.83% over the previous two sessions.
Pressure also came from rival edible oil markets. The most-active Dalian Commodity Exchange soyoil contract slipped 0.43%, while its palm oil contract dropped 2.19%. On the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), soyoil futures also edged 0.34% lower, reinforcing the bearish sentiment across the global vegetable oil complex.
Market participants are now awaiting Malaysia's June 1–25 palm oil export data, which is expected to provide a clearer indication of global demand and could influence the short-term direction of CPO prices.
