InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices in North Sumatra increased significantly for the June 17–23, 2026 pricing period, according to the province’s official FFB Pricing Committee. The benchmark price for oil palm trees aged 10–20 years rose by Rp159.30 per kilogram to reach Rp3,879.39/kg.

Based on data compiled by InfoSAWIT from the North Sumatra Plantation and Livestock Agency, FFB prices varied according to tree age. Oil palm trees aged three years were priced at Rp3,274.88/kg, while four-year-old trees were set at Rp3,492.58/kg. Prices continued to climb with age, reaching Rp3,612.76/kg for five-year-old palms and Rp3,717.85/kg for six-year-old trees.

For older plantations, seven-year-old palms were valued at Rp3,683.83/kg, eight-year-old trees at Rp3,814.65/kg, and nine-year-old palms at Rp3,848.21/kg.

The highest benchmark price was recorded for 21-year-old oil palm trees at Rp3,885.48/kg, slightly above the 10–20-year category. Prices then gradually declined for older plantations, with 25-year-old trees valued at Rp3,574.53/kg and 30-year-old trees at Rp3,330.44/kg.

The committee also set the reference price for crude palm oil (CPO) at Rp15,265.45/kg, while palm kernel prices were fixed at Rp14,628.74/kg. The K index, which reflects the proportion of revenue distributed to growers, was established at 93.03%.

The latest adjustment reflects stronger market fundamentals and improved downstream pricing, providing positive momentum for oil palm growers across North Sumatra. (T2)
