InfoSAWIT, SAMARINDA – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm plantations in East Kalimantan declined during the second pricing period of May 2026 (May 16–31), according to the latest pricing decision issued by the province’s FFB Pricing Team.
The benchmark price for oil palm trees aged more than 10 years was set at Rp3,617.10 per kilogram, representing a decrease of Rp15.86/kg from the previous period.
Based on information obtained by InfoSAWIT from the East Kalimantan Plantation Agency, FFB prices varied according to tree age. Oil palms aged three years were priced at Rp3,176.62/kg, while four-year-old trees were valued at Rp3,277.67/kg. Prices increased progressively with age, reaching Rp3,368.00/kg for five-year-old trees, Rp3,442.01/kg for six-year-old trees, and Rp3,491.80/kg for seven-year-old trees.
Meanwhile, oil palms aged eight years were set at Rp3,548.32/kg, nine-year-old trees at Rp3,591.49/kg, and plantations older than 10 years at Rp3,617.10/kg.
The pricing team also established the reference price for crude palm oil (CPO) at Rp15,188.44/kg, while palm kernel prices were set at Rp14,780.48/kg.
The latest pricing reflects prevailing market conditions and serves as the official benchmark used by the provincial government. However, actual FFB prices received by smallholders and growers may vary depending on local trading conditions and mill purchasing policies. (T2)
