Independent Palm Oil FFB Prices in Riau Fall Sharply During June 3–9 Period

InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent smallholders in Riau Province declined significantly during the June 3–9, 2026 pricing period, according to the latest pricing determination issued by the provincial pricing committee.

Based on the official pricing decision, the benchmark price for nine-year-old oil palm trees fell by Rp437.44 per kilogram to Rp3,271.91/kg, reflecting weaker market conditions compared to the previous pricing period.

Data compiled by InfoSAWIT from the Riau Plantation Agency shows that FFB prices varied according to plantation age. Prices for younger plantations were set at Rp2,541.03/kg for three-year-old trees, Rp2,829.24/kg for four-year-old trees, and Rp3,031.63/kg for five-year-old trees.

Meanwhile, plantations aged six, seven, and eight years were priced at Rp3,146.91/kg, Rp3,218.17/kg, and Rp3,256.58/kg respectively. Nine-year-old plantations recorded the highest price at Rp3,271.91/kg during the current period.

For mature plantations, FFB prices were set at Rp3,240.05/kg for trees aged 10–20 years, Rp3,187.66/kg for 21-year-old trees, and Rp3,126.75/kg for 22-year-old trees. Prices continued to decline for older plantations, reaching Rp2,767.13/kg for 30-year-old trees.

The pricing formula was supported by a crude palm oil (CPO) reference price of Rp12,872.00/kg, a palm kernel price of Rp13,431.91/kg, a shell value of Rp26.09/kg, and a K index of 92.87%.

The provincial government noted that the published figures serve as official reference prices and may differ from actual transaction prices in the field depending on local market conditions and supply chain factors. (T2)
