Riau Independent Smallholder FFB Prices Rise for June 24–30 Pricing Period

InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent oil palm smallholders in Riau Province increased slightly for the June 24–30, 2026 pricing period, supported by firm palm oil market fundamentals.

According to pricing data released by the Riau Plantation Agency, the benchmark price for FFB produced by nine-year-old oil palm trees rose by Rp11.28 per kilogram to Rp3,707.61/kg.

The latest pricing decision was established under the province’s FFB pricing mechanism for independent smallholders and reflects prevailing market conditions for crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel products.

Based on the official pricing schedule, FFB from palms aged between 10 and 20 years was set at Rp3,667.79/kg, while younger and older plantations received prices adjusted according to productivity and age profiles.

The pricing team also set CPO at Rp15,263.64/kg and palm kernel at Rp12,946/kg. Meanwhile, shell value was determined at Rp23.11/kg, with the K index established at 92.45%.

Riau remains one of Indonesia’s largest palm oil-producing provinces, making FFB pricing developments closely watched by thousands of independent smallholders whose incomes depend on plantation performance and commodity market trends.

The provincial pricing formula is intended to provide a transparent benchmark for smallholder transactions, although actual prices received in the field may vary depending on local market conditions, quality factors, and supply chain arrangements. (T2)
