CPO Increased, Export did too in North Sumatera




MEDAN–To many journalists, Head of Central Statistic Board, North Sumatera, Win Koesdiatmono, Monday (19/5/2014) said in March 2014, five export commodities of North Sumatera increased from the previous month. The biggest export was aluminum about 21,11 millions of dollars of US (133,50 %), animal/natural fat and oil  about US$7,75 millions (2,05 persen); coffee, tea, and spices about US$ 6,61 millions (21,79%); fruits US$ 2,20 millions (14,16 %); soap and cleaners US$0,80 millions (5,30 %). 

He continued, as quoted in Beritasore, the export increased 10,06% than in March 2013. If it was counted from January to March 2014, the total export in North Sumatera reached US$ 2,39 billions but it decreased 1,25% thant the previous year in the same period.

On the other hand, the economic observer, who also the directors in State Enterprice, Gunawan Benjamin, it happened for the increasing export commodities, especially crude palm oil (CPO) in March. The CPO price reached RM2.910/ton. But now it reaches RM2.565 /ton. (T3)
