KUCHING – Palm oil farmers and businessmen in Serawak should have loss about more than RM100 millions in last year because lots of the the fruit was stolen

Secretary of Plantation Industry and Commodity, Malaysia, Datuk Seri Douglas UggahEmbassaid, the prediction of the loss is based on the police reports which reaching 309 reports about the case and which involved 18,839 hectares in the country.

“To wipe out the stealing which will effect the industry, his side has run Palm Oil Operational Procedure which has begun since July 1st last year. After the special operation which the officers in Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) did, some of the traders and palm oil producers had been sentenced for they bought palm oil fruit from the thieves,” he said as quoted from Bharian, Thursday (19/3).
