CPO Prices at KPBN Inacom Fall on Wednesday (Oct 29) as Malaysian Palm Oil Futures Extend Losses

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) price at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at Rp 14,188/kg on Wednesday (29/10/2025), marking a decline of Rp 135/kg or about 0.94% compared to Monday’s (27/10/2025) highest offer of Rp 14,323/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO price was set at Rp 14,188/kg. Meanwhile, CPO Talang Duku opened at Rp 13,988/kg but was withdrawn (WD) with the highest bid recorded at Rp 13,803/kg. The Franco Teluk Bayur CPO opened at Rp 14,058/kg, also withdrawn (WD) with the highest bid of Rp 13,873/kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, Malaysian crude palm oil (CPO) futures continued their downward trend on Wednesday (29/10/2025), marking the fourth consecutive session of decline and heading for a second monthly drop.

The benchmark CPO contract for January 2026 delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange closed RM 65 lower, or 1.51%, at RM 4,252 per metric ton (around US$1,006.63) — the lowest closing level since August 7.

The Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) previously projected that Indonesia’s palm oil production in 2025 could reach around 56 million metric tons, higher than earlier estimates, supported by favorable weather and strong prices.

Adding to the pressure, palm oil and soybean oil contracts on the Dalian Commodity Exchange dropped 1.86% and 0.88% respectively, while soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade fell 0.73%.

A stronger ringgit against the U.S. dollar also weighed on the CPO market, as it made the ringgit-denominated commodity more expensive for overseas buyers.
