InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Attorney General's Office handed over replacement funds for state losses in the corruption case of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and derivative export facilities amounting to Rp13.25 trillion to the government. The symbolic handover was carried out directly by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin to Minister of Finance RI Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, witnessed by President RI Prabowo Subianto, at the Main Building of the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta.
In his speech, President Prabowo expressed high appreciation to the Attorney General's Office for its hard work and commitment in eradicating corruption practices that harm the state.
“This money worth thirteen trillion can be used to repair or renovate more than 8,000 schools. We will also build and update fishermen villages with modern facilities. With this fund, we can build about 600 fishermen villages,” said President Prabowo in an official statement written by InfoSAWIT, Monday (27/10/2025).
Attorney General Burhanuddin explained that law enforcement against corruption crimes in strategic sectors is a top priority for the Attorney General's Office, especially sectors that directly intersect with the interests of the wider community as well as the management of natural resources, energy, and the environment.
“Today we hand over replacement funds amounting to Rp13,255,244,538,149 confiscated from three corporations, namely Wilmar Group, Musim Mas Group, and Permata Hijau Group,” said the Attorney General.
The breakdown of replacement values from each corporation is as follows: Wilmar Group: Rp11,880,351,802,620; Permata Hijau Group: Rp186,430,960,863; and Musim Mas Group: Rp1,188,461,774,666.
In addition, the Attorney General's Office also recorded Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) achievements of Rp1.99 trillion throughout 2025 from case handling and legal cooperation. Thus, the total deposit of the Attorney General's Office to the state treasury in 2025 has reached Rp15.24 trillion.
“This success reflects the Attorney General's Office's efforts in upholding national economic sovereignty. Everything we do leads to one goal: for the greatest prosperity of the people,” emphasized Attorney General Burhanuddin.
The handover event was also attended by several high-ranking state officials, including Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Minister of State Secretary Hadi Prasetyo, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Head of BPKP Muhammad Yusuf Ateh. Also present were the Deputy Attorneys General, Head of the Prosecutors' Training Agency RI, and Head of TNI General Staff.
This handover of replacement funds marks one of the Attorney General's Office's concrete steps in recovering state losses and strengthening accountability in managing national resources, especially in the palm oil industry which is the backbone of Indonesia's economy. (T2)
