PEKANBARU – Head of Plantation Agency, Riau Province, Zuhler supported the building of integrated palm oil company, PT. Sungai Pinang Malindo (SPM) which does not produce crude palm oil, but also other kinds of the derivatives.
He thought, the presence of PT SPM in District of Kampar will support not only the government’s programme in developing downstream industry, but also in increasing the economy of the people in Riau.
“We appreciate PT SPM. There are no many industries running palm oil downstream industries in Riau. We are sure, the supply of the stocks in downstream industry will be abundant from some palm oil factories. In the end, it will increase our economy,” he said as quoted from Hallo Riau, Sunday (15/3).
But, he hoped, the company should run sustainable practices according to the available regulations in Indonesia. (T3)
