Meanwhile, Reuters reported that palm oil futures trading on the Bursa Malaysia strengthened on Tuesday (8/10), recovering after two consecutive sessions of decline. The rally was supported by expectations of lower near-term palm oil production and rising soybean oil prices in the global market.

The benchmark palm oil futures contract for December 2025 delivery rose by RM 35 per ton, or 0.79%, to RM 4,472 (equivalent to US$1,061.73) per ton at the market close. The contract had previously dropped 0.20% over the last two sessions.

Referencing a Reuters survey, Malaysian palm oil stocks are projected to have fallen in September—the first drop in the last seven months—amid weaker production. Official data on September palm oil supply and demand is scheduled for release by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) on October 10.

Separately, soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade were up 0.46%, while the Dalian Commodity Exchange in China remained closed from October 1–8 for a national holiday. (T2)
