PALANGKARAYA –Province of East Kalimantan is officially pronounced as the Pioneer Province to do REDD+ programme through Decision No. SK-010/BP REDD+/05/2014 by Administrator Board(AB)Reducing Emmission from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+ ), wasgiven in the commemoration of the 57th birthday of the province, Friday (23/5/2014).
“Central Kalimantan was chosen by the President of Republic of Indonesia as the pilot province to run REDD+ on 23 Desember 2010”, Chief of AB REDD+ Heru Prasetyo in his press release which InfoSAWIT got.
Furthermore, he explained, there 10 provinces more are ready to implement the forest conservation after knowing the success of Central Kalimantan. (T3)
