InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at Rp14,710/kg on Wednesday (9/17/2025). This marks a gain of Rp120/Kg, or approximately 0.82%, compared to the price of Rp14,590/Kg on Tuesday (9/16/2025).
According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO Franco Dumai price was set at Rp14,710/Kg. The Loco Pelaihari price opened at Rp14,156/Kg but was withdrawn (WD), with the highest bid at Rp13,666/kg.
Meanwhile, as reported by Bernama, palm oil futures trading closed with a slight gain on Thursday (9/18), driven by solid export performance.
Market analyst David Ng noted that price movements are still supported by strong foreign demand, although pressure comes from weaker soybean oil prices. "We expect prices to remain above the RM4,400 level, with a resistance area around RM4,550 per ton," he told Bernama.
At the close of trading, the October 2025 contract price rose by RM6 to RM4,414 per ton. The prices for the November 2025, December 2025, and January 2026 contracts each added RM5 to stand at RM4,450, RM4,475, and RM4,487 per ton, respectively. The February 2026 and March 2026 contracts also gained RM4 each, reaching RM4,475 and RM4,441 per ton.
Transaction activity also increased. Trading volume surged to 100,222 lots compared to 78,526 lots in the previous session. Open interest increased to 263,281 contracts from 263,070 contracts.
