90 Proposals Pass to Presentation Stage of 2025 Palm Oil Research Grant

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), along with its Research and Development Committee, has officially announced the list of proposals that have passed the initial selection for the 2025 Palm Oil Research Grant (GRS) Program. A total of 90 proposals from various universities, colleges, and research institutions have been deemed eligible to proceed to the presentation stage.

The proposals are divided into seven strategic research areas: bioenergy; biomaterials and oleochemicals; land, seedlings, and cultivation; food, feed, and health; post-harvest and processing; waste management and the environment; and social, economic, management, markets, and ICT. Each area is expected to provide a tangible contribution to the development of a sustainable palm oil industry.

As reported by InfoSAWIT from BPDP on Wednesday (9/17/2025), the presentation stage will be held from October 13-16, 2025, in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join both online and in person. BPDPKS has stated that this list of successful proposals is final and not subject to appeal.

Further information, including official invitations for successful participants, will be sent to the email addresses registered on the official BPDPKS research program website.

The 2025 GRS Program is one of the efforts to strengthen research and innovation in the palm oil sector, while also addressing global challenges related to renewable energy, the environment, and the competitiveness of Indonesian palm oil derivative products. (T2)
