InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at Rp14,650/kg on Tuesday (9/2/2025), marking a rise of approximately Rp150/Kg or a 1.03% increase compared to Monday's price of Rp14,500/Kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Dumai was set at Rp14,650/Kg. The FOB Talang Duku price was set at Rp14,450/Kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, CPO futures contracts on the Malaysian exchange strengthened again in Tuesday's trading, after weakening for two previous sessions. Bargain hunting and solid export data were the main drivers of the price movement.

The benchmark CPO futures contract for November 2025 delivery on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose by RM94 per ton, or 2.15%, closing at RM4,474 (US$1,063.97) per ton. Previously, prices had corrected by 2.41% in two consecutive sessions. The exchange was closed on Monday for a national holiday.

Reports from cargo surveyors estimated that Malaysian palm oil product exports in August increased by 10.2% to 15.4% compared to the previous month. India was noted as the main buyer, with August palm oil imports soaring to a 13-month high. The more competitive price of palm oil compared to soyoil encouraged Indian processors to increase their purchases ahead of the festive season.

In global markets, the most active soyoil contract on the Dalian exchange rose by 0.31%, while its palm oil contract gained 1.03%. Soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade also strengthened by 0.88%.
