InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The Forest Area Order Task Force (Satgas PKH) has once again recorded a significant achievement. As of August 2025, a total of 3,312,022.75 hectares of state forest areas that had been illegally occupied and exploited have been reclaimed.
The Head of the Satgas PKH, who is also the Attorney General's Junior Attorney for Special Crimes (JAM-Pidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, explained that out of the total area, 915,206.46 hectares have been handed over to the relevant ministries. Specifically, 833,413.46 hectares have been allocated to PT Agrinas, while 81,793 hectares have been returned as a conservation area in Tesso Nilo National Park. The remaining 2,398,816.29 hectares are still in the administrative process and will soon be handed over.
In addition to illegal palm oil plantations, the Satgas PKH is now also targeting the reclamation of illegal mining areas within forest regions. Based on initial data, the area to be reclaimed from illegal mining activities amounts to 4,265,376.32 hectares. "The reclaimed land will be temporarily handed over through the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises to Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) for management, so that it can provide direct benefits to the state and the public," said the Head of the Attorney General's Office Information Center, Anang Supriatna, in a written statement obtained by InfoSAWIT on Saturday (8/30/2025).
Febrie emphasized that the Task Force's approach is not solely focused on criminal punishment. The main objective is the return of land to the state and obligating offenders to return all illegal gains. However, he warned that if there are uncooperative parties or those who obstruct the process, the resolution could escalate to criminal charges, whether through administrative law, the Corruption Act, or the Money Laundering Act (TPPU).
The report on this achievement was also attended by the Vice Chairman of the Satgas PKH: TNI Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. TNI Richard Taruli H. Tampubolon, Chief of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim Polri) Comm. Gen. Pol. Syahardiantono, and the Attorney General's Junior Attorney for Military Crimes Maj. Gen. TNI M. Ali Ridho. Officials from the Attorney General's Office, TNI, Polri, BPKP, the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Forestry, and other related institutions were also present to support this strategic agenda.
