InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at the Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at Rp14,650/kg on Wednesday (8/27/2025). This marks an increase of approximately Rp80/Kg, or a 0.55% rise, compared to the CPO price of Rp14,570/Kg on Tuesday (8/26/2025).

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Dumai was set at Rp14,650/Kg. The price for Franco Teluk Bayur was set at Rp14,520/Kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, CPO futures contracts on the Malaysian exchange strengthened again during Wednesday’s trading session, following a two-day decline. News that the United States (U.S.) had exempted Indonesian palm oil from a 19% import tariff was the main driver of the price movement, although sluggish demand from markets outside of China limited further gains.

The CPO futures contract price for November 2025 delivery on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose by RM40 per ton, or about 0.89%, to RM4,510 per metric ton (around US$1,072.53) during the midday break. Previously, prices had fallen by 1.3% over the last two trading sessions.

It was reported that the U.S. government had, in principle, approved the exemption of Indonesian export products, including cocoa, palm oil, and rubber, from the 19% tariff that has been in effect since August 7. This news was announced by Indonesia's main trade negotiator on Tuesday (8/26).

Meanwhile, the price of the most active soyoil contract on the Dalian exchange fell by 0.89%, the palm oil contract price rose slightly by 0.04%, and soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) weakened by 0.11%.
