InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at Rp14,852/kg on Wednesday (August 13, 2025), marking an increase of approximately Rp137/kg or a rise of 0.93% compared to the highest CPO price offered on Tuesday (August 12, 2025), which reached Rp14,715/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the price of CPO Franco Belawan was set at Rp14,852/kg. The price for CPO Franco Dumai opened at Rp14,825/kg, but there was a withdrawal (WD) with the highest offered price for CPO at Rp14,800/kg. The price for CPO FOB Talang Duku opened at Rp14,652/kg, but also experienced a withdrawal (WD) with the highest offered price at Rp14,525/kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, the futures contract price for palm oil on Bursa Malaysia strengthened again on Wednesday (August 13, 2025), extending the upward trend to four consecutive sessions. This increase was driven by market optimism regarding projected stronger export data for August.

The benchmark futures contract price for palm oil for October 2025 delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose RM57 per ton or 1.29% to RM4,459 (US$1,056.89) per metric ton during the midday trading break.

This optimism was bolstered by export estimates from cargo survey companies indicating a significant surge. Data from Intertek Testing Services showed that Malaysia's palm oil product exports for the period of August 1-10 surged by 23.3% compared to the same period last month. Meanwhile, AmSpec Agri Malaysia reported an export increase of 23.7%.

Strengthening vegetable oil prices were also observed in the global market. The most active soyoil contract price in Dalian rose by 1.37%, while the palm oil contract price increased by 1.33%. On the Chicago Board of Trade, soyoil prices recorded a rise of 0.15%.
