MEDAN - President The Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEA), Pravin S Lunkad mentioned, India still depends on the vegetable oil. In this case, India still needs Indonesian palm oil.
It is noted, in 2014, Indonesian palm oil exports dominantly happened in India. “From 7,59 millions of tons India’s palm oil imports in last year, most of them were from Indonesia,” he said on Sunday, (8/3) as quoted from Antara.
Beside that, the dependence of Indonesian palm oil, Pavin continued, because of the quality of the palm oil. It is good. But the Out Fee policy which Indonesia has run and the Income Fee which India also runs has influenced the crude palm oil (CPO) and the derivative volumes. (T3)
