BARABAI – A group of people from Aliansi Penyelamatan Bumi Murakata (APBM), Thursday (5/3) gathered and protested, the licence of a palm oil company, PT Globalindo Lestari.
Besides the palm oil licence, APBM also rejected the licence of Mining Business Agreement in the District of Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST), South Kalimantan Province which was published in 1999.
As quoted from Tribun Banjarmasin, in the demonstration, APBM asked the Regent of HST, Harun Nurasid, to revoke the Decision of Regent of HST No 500/57/503 / 2014 about the business licence of palm oil company for PT Globalindo Lestari.
They thought, the licence was against the Regional Regulation No 4/2010 about the Regional Long Term Plans of HST and against The Presidential Regulation No 3 / 2012 about the Space Management in Kalimantan Island.
Coordinator of APBM mentioned, the demonstrationwas based on the awareness to protect HST from disaster, social, economical effects for the people themselves. (T3)
