TANJUNG REDEB – Regional Government of Berau keeps trying many things so that every village gets electricity power. Besides Steam Electricity Power in Lati which coal as the material, the Regent also asks the palm oil factory to advantage palm oil liquid waste as the material for the electricity.

Regent of Berau, MakmurHAPK said as quoted from Kaltim Post, Thursday (12/2), there are two crude palm oil companies making incredible breakthrough. The capital subdistrict which got 12 hours of electricity, now have full day electricity. The companies share the electricity to the people through the State Electricity Power. Talisayan and Segah are the subindustries getting the 24 hour electricity and some other villages. The two companies will do the same thing in Tanjung Batu and Kelay.

But Makmur still needs the electricity power by advantaging the palm oil liquid waste. This material could be boosted by CPO factories, they are, PT Hutan Hijau Mas and PT Tanjung Perkasa.

He continued, the two companies promise to realize it in 2016. If this happens, there will be 4 villages in subdistrict of Segah enjoying the light and some other villages in Talisayan, Biatan, and Tabalar.(T3)
