Palm Oil Replanting, Regent of Merangin Cooperates with PTPN VI

BANGKO – Palm oil replanting programme in District of Merangin, Jambi Province found some problems. So Regent of Merangin, Al Haris and Vice Regent, A Khafid Moein will cooperate with State Enterprice, PT Perkebunan Nusantara VI (PTPN VI) to run the programme.

Beside that, the Regent also asked PTPN VI to cultivate coffee plantation. Quoting from The Jambi Times, the indication of the cooperation, between the regional government and the State Enterprices, happens for the team of PTPN VI visited the official residence of the Regent, Wednesday (3/2).

“We ourselves cannot cultivate the coffee plantation. That is why, the big company, like PTPN VI should be our partner. Hopefully this meeting has the good result,” Al Haris said.

The meeting was attended by Director of PTPN VI, Iskandar Sulaiman; Commisioners, Fahrudin Rasi and Bambang Suparno; Director of Development Nasulian Arifin; Director of Monetary, Arfinaldi; Director of Production, Fahrurozi Lubis.

The officers from Regional Government of Merangin who attended the meeting, besides the Regent were Vice Regent, A Khafid Moein, Head of Plantation, Arwan; Head of Economy and Development, Muhammad; Head of Law Enforcement Zainul; Representatives of Regional Development Agency and Land Agency.
