INFOSAWIT/JAKARTA- The bad progress of vegetable fuel (biodiesel) is suspected that the buying referential price is not good because of the decreasing crude oil price since October 2014.
Daily Chairman, Indonesian Biofuel Producer Association, Paulus Tjakrawan said, the biodiesel price still refers to Main of Platts Singapore (MOPS) plus 3,48%. This is not general to do for the diesel in MOPS reaches US$ 450/ton while CPO is just US$ 650/ton.
So biodiesel producers get losts. “In addition, the production price could reach US$ 150/ton,” he recently said.
Referring to the CPO price which reaches US$ 650/ton in average and the additional production cost about US$ 150/ton, the biodiesel price should actually be US$ 800/ton. But if biodiesel price refers to MOPS, it will be US$ 450/ton and plus alpha for the national biodiesel producers should have lost about US$ 150/ton.(T2)
