JAKARTA – Vegetable mandatory programme, 10% which the government proposed is stucked by the decreasing crude palm oil (CPO) price in the international markets.
Chairman of Indonesian Biofuel Producer Association, M.P. Tumanggor, as quoted from Warta Ekonomi, Thursday (5/2) mentioned, the decreasing CPO price and the raw oil in the world effect the B10 programme for it is no more economical.
Until now, he said, there are 11 CPO companies producing biodiesel and supplying it to Pertamina ab0ut 5,2 millions of liter. But for being in this condition, the companies will stop the biodiesel production to Pertamina.
“We produced biodiesel because of the governmental instruction and at the time, we got profits still. But we don’t think that the diesel will be nowadays price,” he said.
He continued, CPO price is now about US$ 600 per ton and this makes lost because biodiesel producers got only about US$ 275 and US$ 350 per ton. (T3)
