BALIKPAPAN – Head of Agruculture Development Strategic Study, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mulawarman, Zulkarnain said, palm oil plantation company could extend Business Licence (BL) which is out of date.
He said that after groups of people insisted, PT Waru Kaltim Plantation (WKP), a palm oil company should have no more BL.
The regulation, Zulkarnain continued, has been officially written in Regulation No. 18 / 2004 about plantation. “We should look back to the Regulation in our country. The investors need law enforcement to make conducive investment,” he said as written in Kaltim Post, Wednesday (4/2).
He continued, the extended BL is clearly and implicitly written in the Regulation at article 11. It says, BL for plantation company is given for about 35 years. And then it could be extended maximally 25 years and after that it can be renewed for next 25 years.
“This means, the company, by the name of Regulation, could get two opportunities to extend the BL,” he said. (T3)
