Illegal Palm Oil Trees in LPF Will be Cut Off

TELUK KUANTAN – Forestry Agency through Tim Terpadu Penertiban Kawasan Hutan or Forest Area Curbing Team  plans to cut off illegal palm oil trees which are in limited production forest (LPF), protected forest and other kinds of forests.
 
Head of Forestry Agency Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), Agus Mandar, Thursday (29/1) claimed, in the first phase, the curbing will be done in LPF Sumpu. “We have some conversation with the Police and Legislators. They support to cut off the plantation area in LPC Sumpu,” he said as quoted from Hallo Riau.
 
He continued, the curbing will be held in February. Now the team is waiting for the operational funds in the field. Besides the persons, the team will also take some heavy tools, such as, bulldozer, greeder to the field to cut off illegal palm oil trees which are against the law and regulations. (T3)
