AALI Officially Acquires 50% of PT Kreasijaya Adhikarya Shares

JAKARTA – PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI), palm oil plantation company, Wednesday (28/1) announced, the company has officially acquired 50% shares of PT Kreasijaya Adhikarya. PT Kreasijaya is the Malaysian palm oil business unit having refinery within 2.000 tons/day capacity.

In its official statement in the stock exchange, AALI officially acquires 50% shares of Kreasijaya about Rp 75 billions (US$ 5,9 millions) and 50% of the rests still belong to KL Kepong Plantation – Holding Sdn. Bhd. (KLKPH).

KLKPH is the subindustry of Malaysian Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad which has about 250.000 hectares palm oil plantations in Malaysia and Indonesia.

“By acquiring Kreasijaya, we have factory in Dumai, Riau, which was belonging to Kreasijaya,” the spokesman of AALI, Tofan Mahdi said to The Jakarta Post. (T3)
