CPO Export to US Increased 25%

JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) export to United States of America (USA) was satisfied in 2014 though the stock of soybean oil was abundant in the country. In the middle of last year, USA increased to use biodiesel within soybean oil as the feedstock which United States Department of Agriculture had funded.

In 2014, CPO export to USA increased 25% from 381,4 thousands of tons in 2013 to be 477,2 thousands of tons in 2014. Executive Director of Indonesian Palm Oil Businessmen Association (IPOBA), Fadhil Hasan mentioned in his official statement some time ago.

Beside that, Indonesian CPO export volume also increased to the new markets in Middle East countries. It is good project.

According to the data from IPOBA, Indonesian CPO export volume to the Middle East Countries in 2014 increased 16% to be 2,29 millions of tons than it in 2013 which reaching 1,98 millions of tons.

“The increasing CPO demands in Middle East happened for the variative CPO price and other kinds of vegetable oil. Beside that it did too for the better Gross Domestic Product and the increasing populations,” Fadhil explained. (T3)
