SELANGOR - Malaysia Palm Oil Council (MPOC) supports the transparency in palm oil labelling which is made in the new regulation of Food Labelling in European Union. In this case, it is called Food Information to Consumers (FIC) which has been started from December 13th, 2014. 

 

MPOC hoped, the FIC which is in Regulation 1169 / 2011 will give the benefits and the positive consequences.

 

Malaysia itself is welknown as the global palm oil producer and provides high quality palm oil to the world in responsible ways. This industry has given prosperity and works to the villagers in Malaysia.

 

In the official statement, The Oil Palm, Thursday (21/1), the FIC in 2015 will also be about law enforcement of the new regulation. Some French and Belgium companies also want to get the palm oil labelling.

 

The law has shown, the discriminatory labelling to palm oil will break the regulation in new FIC.  (T3)
