KUALA LUMPUR – Palm oil plantation company, Felda Global Ventures Holdings(FGV) plans to increase the biodisel production up to three times in the next two years or 2016 by hoping, one third of the production could be consumed locally.
Chief Executive Officer FGV, Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah recently mentioned, as quoted from Reuters, the company’s palm methyl Esther (PME) is increasing from 100.000 tons per year to be 350.000 tons in 2016. Beside that, FGV plans to use B30 of biodiesel in Felda to operate the ships in phase in 2015.
The mixture of B100 will be used in trucks to transport crude palm oil (CPO) of FGV from the factories to the distillation places or directly transported to the port to be export in the end of 2016 or 2017.
