JAKARTA - Secretary of Research and Technology and High School, Mohamad Nasir mentioned, if the semiotic embryogenesis in palm oil seed could be developed and productive, palm oil plantation could develop fast without being afraid of lack of seeds.
“The needs of palm oil in the future, if it uses such technology, every thing will be faster to develop,” he said, Monday (19/1)
He thought, as written in Antara, semiotic embryogenesis could be more effective to produce seeds. The technology is the way to produce embryo from the semiotic parts of the plants which could be taken, such as, edge of the roots, leaves and seeds.
Besides palm oil, this technology could be used in cocoa, coffee, and, banana. (T3)
