KUCHING – Researcher of CIMB Investment Bank Bhd (CIMB Research) mentioned, the lack of employees, the decreasing margin and the stagnant crude palm oil (CPO) also decrease palm oil industries in the world.
In the official CIMB Research report, it is estimated that Malaysian CPO production in 2015 is projected to be 20 millions of tons or it increases about 0,3 millions of tons, while Indonesia’s CPO is increasing 2 millions of tons to be 32 millions of tons.
Researcher and Honorary Member and Advisor to Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), Chandran said, he is optimistic to see the prospect of CPO price in 2015. Chandran even predicted, the average CPO price is 2015 could be RM 2.400/ton. “Chandran is optimistic about the CPO price,” the CIMB Research said as quoted from The Borneo Post, Thursday (8/1).
